In 2021, I ran for Council Rock School Board Director and lost by just seven votes of 2,907 cast. I am running again to fill the remaining two years for CR Region 9, which includes Wrightstown Township and Newtown Township Districts 1& 2.
I am running again because I am deeply passionate about our students, schools and local community. I am committed to keeping Council Rock the highly regarded school district that all of us recognize and value. In the past few years, as I have watched and listened at School Board meetings and committee meetings, I have learned that the nine School Directors form the decision-making body for everything related to schools in Council Rock. That’s why it is so important we have School Directors who are focused on excellence in education for all our students.
Whether you have children or grandchildren in the district, or are a taxpayer or simply a voter, your voice matters. Your vote can help provide the best education for all of our students in a safe, inclusive environment. Your vote can give every child the opportunity to succeed in their formative years in our public schools.
I earned a Masters degree in Education from the University at Buffalo. I taught grades 4, 5, and 6 for eight years in the Philadelphia region. During my years as an educator, I held many leadership roles, including Dean of Students; facilitated professional development for peers; and was recognized by the district as a regional “Teacher of the Year.”
My family and I have lived in Wrightstown for over ten years and in the CR region for eighteen years. I have a third grader in CRSD and am actively involved in my son’s education. I currently serve on the PTO Board at Sol Feinstone Elementary and served as President of that Board. I have chaired large fundraisers, events and been a homeroom parent and classroom photographer. My family has actively supported small businesses and local community charitable organizations for several years. We love the area and are committed to the continued success and growth of CRSD.
I am running for School Board Director because I want to make a difference for all students. I know I can be a voice of reason and hope to unify the Board to make decisions in a manner that is best for our students, staff and community. I feel my experiences and background can add a unique perspective to the School Board. I will be a thoughtful, well-informed, and communicative representative for all students, parents, and schools in CRSD.
