I live in Wrightstown with my husband and son, who is a second grader at Sol Feinstone Elementary School. My husband and I have lived in Bucks County for 17 years. When deciding on an area to live in, I researched and knew it had to be in Council Rock School District.
I graduated from the University at Buffalo, in Buffalo, NY with a Master's in Education. I spent eight years teaching in the Philadelphia region in grades 4, 5, and 6th in Title I schools. During my years as an educator, I held many leadership roles, facilitated professional development for peers, was recognized by the district as a regional “Teacher of the Year,” maintained a model classroom, and was also a Dean of Students. In my spare time I love to cook, read, garden, travel and spend time with my family.
I have been actively involved in my son’s education. I am running for School Board Director because I want to be involved and make a difference for all students. In the past couple of years, I have learned that these nine School Board Directors form the decision making body for everything related to schools in Council Rock. I currently serve on the PTO Board as President Elect at my son's elementary school. I have chaired large fundraisers and events. I have been a homeroom parent and classroom photographer. My family has actively supported small businesses and local community organizations (food banks, charities, schools, etc.) for several years. We love the area and are vested in the continued success and growth of CRSD. I know I can be a voice of reason and hope to unify the board to make decisions in a manner that is best for our students, staff and community. I feel my experiences and background can add to the diversity of the school board. I will be a thoughtful, well informed, and communicative representative for all students and for all schools in CRSD.
